Temporary Student Records

Records are destroyed five years after graduation

Notice is hereby given that parents have the right under the Rules and Regulations governing School Student Records based upon the "Illinois School Student Record Act of 1975," to inspect, challenge and/or copy information contained in the permanent and temporary records of their child(ren). Temporary Records are destroyed five years after graduation or leaving the district.  Parents may request  student records be released to them in lieu of destroying the records.


Permanent School Records

Permanent school records are retained for a minimum of 60 years.

Permanent record must contains:

  1. Basic identifying information
  2. Academic transcript, including grades, class rank, graduation date, scores on college entrance exams
  3. Attendance record
  4. Accident report - health records
  5. Record of release of permanent record information

Permanent record may contain:

  1. Outstanding honors and awards
  2. Participation in school activities

Request a Transcript You may request an official transcript be sent to you or the college or business of your choice.
